The first fan site, back.
The story
Your Site of Sites started in the early 2000s as the first fan site devoted to Anne Bancroft and Mel Brooks: hand-coded HTML, a guestbook, film lists, and interviews typed up page by page from old magazines and newspapers. It ran for years, collected Flash videos and audio clips, and then went quiet.
In 2026, the year Mel turned 100, it came back. The original pages were recovered from a 2019 backup and turned into a searchable archive: 326 records, 142 films, plays and TV productions, and 592 photos, scans, reels and recordings.
How it was rebuilt
- Every interview and article transcription was carried over and made searchable.
- 81 Flash videos that no modern browser can play were converted to standard video. A few are still unidentified; you can help on the Restoration Desk.
- Film, stage and TV pages were rebuilt from the old site's cast-and-crew lists.
- The old server had been hacked at some point. All of that was stripped out; nothing from it is served here.
Rights & takedowns
This is a non-commercial fan archive. The interviews, articles, photographs and clips here belong to their original publishers, photographers, studios and broadcasters, and are shown for the purpose of preservation, commentary and research. Credit is given wherever we know it.
If you hold the rights to something here and want it credited differently or taken down, email hello@yoursiteofsites.com with a link to the record. We'll act on it promptly.
If you have something to add, such as a scan, a date, a name for an unidentified photo, or a better copy of a clip, we'd love to hear from you too.
